EDDY

Defined by science as a circular movement of water going against the main current, EDDY is characterized by its authors as a being constantly living in a storm. Strong, wise “ but who keeps his cool ” according to Abigail Galwey, EDDY perfectly embodies the movement of water and the way in which the lives of the duo, although opposed, ended up crossing.

EDDY presents a unique and particular sound. The duo maneuvers their ship with confidence, like a musical expedition, towards uncharted waters. Fluid opens with muted string plucking, lively fingertip tapping on drums and the hum of a synthesizer that heralds the album's musically eclectic style. Galwey and Trudeau embrace unfamiliar sounds and explore musical structures that evolve like a good story, with unexpected turns. This spirit of adventure is one of the virtues of the album, illustrating the courage and the will to move towards new horizons.

Fluid demonstrates a keen sense of balance and lives up to its title. Each song flows naturally, building momentum, which softens at times but never stops flowing. Water is the best metaphor to describe this body of work.
